New sounds for old children's films

Disney classics like "The Little Mermaid" were synchronized in time and over again, so that these "child-friendly" or "modern". But that will damage the fans if they changed the old movies again and again, or forward them to what's new? when Arielle it did not work.
First came the film "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" and "Pinocchio" and "Dumbo," which came back in the 60s and 70s in the new versions on the market, and later were even provided with a third re-synchronization.

The decision for a remake was made mostly for reasons of quality improvement or to the movies "child-friendly" to make. While the revisions were perceived by the audience of these films as "modernization" and accepted, it was after the re-synchronization of the first part of "The Little Mermaid" violent protests.

Arielle was a success, mainly because of the soundtrack

The first version of the film was released in 1989 and was considered the film that Disney wanted to return to the musical-movie format, with success. The film won two Oscars: The one he won for best film music and the other for Best Original Song with "Under the Sea". Also, the film received numerous other awards for the soundtrack.

In 1998, the return followed the screens: with original pictures and all-new synchronization. Not only new voices should make an impression, but also revised text, which - according to the Disney Studios - closer to the original English version and should be suitable for children.
From "Under the Sea" was "the bottom of the sea" and passages such as "where Please consider the water better, and wetter than it would here" are now "in any weather is much nicer and offers more." Even Ariel's song "A human being" has been changed and will be carried forward into a new version as "in your world" of the mermaid.

"Lost House" and "desecration of art"

When finally published in 2000 on the "Special Edition DVD", only the voices of the latest version could be heard, the fans of the original version written hundreds of petitions and letters to Disney and demanded back the synchronization of 1989. Ask "Is it really necessary that texts are modernized classics for children and losing its charm?" as available in the area since then. And especially tough critic wanted to know: "Why should we desecrate with impunity in this country works of art?"
Disney was not impressed by such criticisms. "For creative reasons," it stayed with the new scoring. Nevertheless, Disney seems to have learned from his mistakes: The 3D version of "The Lion King" in 2011 came with the voices and songs of the first version in the cinema. Just look and technology have been modernized.
